Symphonic Band

Symphonic Band is the premiere performing ensemble at RBHS! This auditioned ensemble is intended for students who want to continue to challenge themselves and push their musicianship to the next level. This ensemble frequently gets to attend trips, festivals, and performances throughout Seattle. RBHS is proud of it's status as an IB school, and Symphonic Band also allows students to take IB Music as part of a rigorous academic course load.
About the Course
Course Description
Smyphonic Band is a year-long advanced performing ensemble is for students with at least one year of experience playing woodwind, brass, or string instruments. Students may either join as freshmen with middle school band or orchestra experience or audition from Beginning Band. Advanced Band students are expected to attend additional concerts, festivals, and performances outside of scheduled class time throughout the year. This course may be repeated for credit.
Students may receive CTE-equivalent credit for this advanced ensemble if they have fulfilled their Fine Arts credit requirements. Talk to your counselor for more information!
